Gather up some white bath towels and throw them in the wash, along with the shower curtain and your regular fabric softener in liquid form. Make sure that the water setting is on warm or cold. A hot cycle could cause damage to your shower curtain. When the shower curtain has been clean properly, you can replace it back in the bathroom where it will drip dry into the tub.
If you have a colored type of shower curtain fabric, it can still be washed in the washing machine. Just replace the vinegar and bleach with one cup of baking soda. You should also read any labels that are attached so that you do not cause damage to the fabric or colors.
